England On Top

ADELAIDE, Australia () -- Fast bowler Martin McCague ripped through the South Australian top order Friday as England took advantage of a green pitch to take control on the first day of the four-day cricket match at Adelaide Oval.

McCague took four for 16 from 11 overs before lunch and finished with a haul of five for 31 as South Australia stumbled to 102 all out.

Rain washed out the last hour and a half of play but England already had raced to 114 for two in reply.
