Encephalitis Kills 4

MOSCOW ( -- Four people have died in an outbreak of encephalitis in the Far East region of Khabarovsk, linked to an increase in the number of ticks in the area, Itar-Tass reported Wednesday.


More than 3,000 people were treated for tick bites at medical centers in the region. Four died of encephalitis contracted by ticks.
