Duma to Delay Budget

MOSCOW () -- Russia's State Duma is likely to postpone the second reading of a draft 1995 budget until Jan. 27 because the government has not provided amendments taking the Chechnya conflict into account, a parliamentary official said.


The government presented new details of the draft budget to the State Duma, the lower house of parliament, last week but did not change key figures on income and expenditure despite the mounting costs of Russia's military incursion into rebel Chechnya
