HYDERABAD, India () -- American grandmaster Gata Kamsky settled for a draw with Indian grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand on the opening day of the World Chess Championship Candidates' quarterfinal.
Six grandmasters are in the tournament, which began Monday and is sponsored by the World Chess Federation. The top three finishers will qualify for the semifinal round.
