Chunnel Evacuation

LONDON -- Ten truck drivers were evacuated from the Channel Tunnel on Tuesday night after a faulty warning light halted the freight train in which they were riding. The drivers traveling on the train with their vehicles were brought out from the section of tunnel involved via an emergency gallery and were put on a train heading in the opposite direction, back to Folkestone, England. The train on which the truck drivers had initially been traveling from England to France was halted by the train driver after he noticed a warning light had come on indicating that a stabilizing device used for steadying the train cars was out of position.
