Baturin Faces Fraud Charges

Investigators have brought new charges against businessman Viktor Baturin, accusing him of fraud totaling 5.6 billion rubles ($186 million), police said.

“Today the Main Investigative Directorate of the Interior Ministry’s Main Directorate for Moscow charged Baturin … with committing a crime under Article 30 (attempted crime) and Article 159 (massive fraud) of the Russian Penal Code,” a police source told Interfax on Friday.
