MANAGUA, Nicaragua ( -- At least six former civil war fighters have been arrested on charges of trying to sabotage the world amateur baseball tournament that started here Wednesday.


Interior Minister Alfredo Mendieta announced the arrests Tuesday, but did not give the names of those detained.


The suspects were arrested in connection with the Friday bombing of electrical posts outside the national stadium in Managua where the tournament is to be held.. The bomb did little damage.
