Argentina Beats Israel

TEL AVIV, Israel -- Gabriel Batistuta and Claudio Caniggia shared all the goals, and overshadowed Diego Maradona, as World Cup qualifier Argentina beat Israel 3-0 in a friendly international. Argentina's Tuesday victory was as convincing as its last two wins against the Israelis in previous World Cup warm-ups in 1986 and 1990. Batistuta, with strikes in the 27th and 49th minutes, and Caniggia, who netted in the 53rd minute, produced impressive displays of flair and ball control.
