9 Arrests in Test Protest

Nine activists of the environmental group Greenpeace were arrested Wednesday outside the French Embassy in Moscow as they protested against France's latest nuclear test .


Six chained themselves to the embassy fence and three others distributed leaflets condemning Sunday's French nuclear test in the South Pacific.


A Reuters correspondent on the scene said there were no clashes as the police arrested the activists. Twenty Belgian protesters were arrested and released without charge Tuesday.
