Severstal said Thursday that it planned to restart some operations at its idled Wheeling, West Virginia, plant thanks to improved U.S. demand.
“As a result of market improvement and demand that we see, we intend to restart some … operations at our Wheeling plant,” Severstal investor relations head Dmitry Druzhinin said.
He did not say when Severstal intends to restart the operations, but added that an announcement would be made in due course.
