The Moscow metro has created a crack team of inspectors who will lend a helping hand to passengers that have difficulty negotiating their way around the city's metro stations.
The helpers will be trained to assist passengers with disabilities, as well as elderly people and those being accompanied by children under 7.
New inspectors will pick these passengers out of the crowd and "help them safely move" around. They will also explain the rules for using the metro, including how to pay for their trips, a metro spokesman told Interfax Thursday.
The Inspectors will also help metro security officers regulate passenger flow in the stations and the surrounding areas.
The service will be up and running at 50 stations by Dec. 1, and at 100 of the city's 188 metro stations by the year's end.
