This weekend you can put away your pots and pans and enjoy no less than three food festivals. At the Moscow Gastronomic Festival, over 80 restaurants have developed special set menus at 1,500 rubles ($24) so everyone can enjoy fine dining at a relatively low price. The more bookish might prefer the Literary Tastings festival in which 35 restaurants have prepared dishes from great Russian works of literature. Details at festival.russiancuisine.ru.

And finally, locavores should head out to Crocus City Expo for the Golden Autumn festival (goldenautumn.moscow), where you can see all that goes into producing food and then enjoy the real stuff at stands and the food court.
