"Solaris," the 1972 sci-fi classic about scientists dealing with mysterious phenomena on a remote space station, is among the movies being shown this weekend in a festival devoted to art-house filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky. Film buffs marked the 75th anniversary of Tarkovsky's birth last Wednesday with a tribute evening at Dom Kino. The retrospective film festival, organized by Muzei Kino, runs to Wednesday at the Central House of Artists. Beside "Solaris," other films still to be shown include "Stalker," "The Mirror," "Nostalghia," "Voyage in Time" and Tarkovsky's last film, "The Sacrifice." For a list of showtimes, see the Cinema listings or visit www.museikino.ru. All screenings will take place in the Central House of Artists, located at 10 Krymsky Val.
