The Moscow Times is Hiring: Business and Politics Correspondent

Do you have what it takes?

The Moscow Times is looking for an experienced and committed business and politics correspondent to create content across print and web platforms. 

This is a full-time position based in Moscow. 

 Responsibilities 

 — Track news on Russian politics, business and economics 

 — Develop relationships with key newsmakers 

 — Write spot news and longer features 

 — Provide feedback and develop ideas within the team 

Requirements 

— At least BA or equivalent 

 — At least three year's experience in reporting, writing or blogging 

 — Ability to write engaging, original articles quickly 

 — Advanced understanding of Russian politics. 

 — Knowledge and understanding of Russian finance and business 

 — Native or near-native English 

 — Excellent Russian

 — Understanding of social media 

 — Willingness to work flexible hours 

 — Understanding of ethics, impartiality and independent journalism 

 — Experience in feature writing and/or investigative reporting 

Salary is dependent on experience
