The Moscow Metro opened the doors of its 200th station — Salaryevo — on Monday, the RBC news agency reported.
The new station is now the southernmost stop of the metro's Red Line.

“It is a huge event. The new station will serve a large district of New Moscow,” Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said at the opening ceremony, RBC reported.
In the next few years the metro is set to open many new stations — expanding the transportation system to both distant districts of the capital and the Moscow region.
The Salaryevo station is located beyond the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) — between Kievskoye Shosse and the village of Salaryevo.
Salaryevo is the second metro station opened this year. The Rumyantsevo station — also on the Red Line — was opened earlier this year.
