Police Detain Teens Suspected of Stealing 5 Chebureki in Late Night Stickup

Police have detained two teenagers suspected of carrying out an armed robbery on a 24-hour roadside food kiosk in Moscow, stealing a grand total of four cans of soda, 160 rubles ($4.5) and five chebureki — a type of meat-filled pastry.

The stickup took place in the suburb of Vykhino at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning, and the two crooks, aged 17 and 16 respectively, were apprehended less than two hours later, Moscow's police department said in a statement.

Police seized the non-lethal pistols the pair are believed to have used in the hold-up, Interfax reported Friday.

They face up to ten years in prison if found guilty of robbery.
