Judge and Bailiff Attacked in Southern Moscow

A judge and a court bailiff received several bruises Thursday evening when two people attacked them at a local judicial office in southern Moscow.

A 48-year old man and his 30-year old female companion initiated the fight with bailiffs at the district magistrates court near Kakhovskaya metro station, a source in law enforcement told Interfax.

A court bailiff was bruised on his right ear and left hand. A judge who tried to stop the fight received several bruises to his face and arms.

The injured officials were treated for their minor injuries and released.

Police are investigating the incident and searching for the attackers, who both successfully fled the scene.
