Kudankulam Plant's 1st Unit Comes Online

The initial chain reaction was started Saturday at the first reactor of the Kundankulam nuclear power plant in Tamil Nadu, India, which is being built with the technical support of Rosatom, the Nuclear Power Corporation of India announced.

The plant will start providing 400 megawatts of electricity to the country's southern grid next month.
