Putin Removes World Cup Advertising Restrictions

President Vladimir Putin has lifted Russia's ban on alcohol at sports events for the 2018 World Cup, and signed a law granting FIFA the right to approve commercial activity and advertising around all stadiums during the event.

The law says FIFA must give written approval to commercial activity or advertising within a two-kilometer radius of stadiums on match day. The punishment for violations is not specified.
