5 Human Skulls Found in Abandoned Arkhangelsk School

A bag containing five human skulls was discovered in the attic of an abandoned art school in Arkhangelsk in northwestern Russia, the Investigative Committee said in a statement on its website on Thursday.

"Yesterday morning, during demolition works of a former art school, a bag containing five human skulls was discovered in the attic of the building located at 39 Ulitsa Loginova in Arkhangelsk," the statement said.

An unidentified official said the unexpected discovery was made by workers carrying out the demolition of the building, Interfax reported.

Investigators are running a check into the incident to determine the age of the remains, the statement said.

Investigators will consider further action pending the results of the examination.
