$15M Allotted for World Food

Russia plans to contribute up to $15 million to the UN World Food Program in 2012-2014, Interfax reported.

A government resolution signed on November 22 2012 states that up to $3 million will be paid during 2012, $6 million in 2013 and $6 million in 2014. The money will be used to fund spending on projects to develop and introduce sustainable school meal systems in Deauville Partnership countries.

The Deauville Partnership was established in 2011 at a G8 summit in France to help countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
