Belyayev to Head Nomos

Vadim Belyayev, a co-owner of Otkritie Financial Corporation, will become president of Nomos-Bank, he told Vedomosti in an interview published Tuesday.

Otkritie is in the process of taking over Nomos-Bank.

Nomos-Bank's current president, Dmitry Sokolov, will become its chief executive officer.

"The appointment will take place within a month, I think. So far we don't have plans to change the supervisory board," Belyaev said.

Otkritie's takeover of Nomos-Bank will be slow, and the new entity might get a new name in the future, he said.

Belyayev also said Otkritie was raising mezzanine financing of $1 billion to buy the bank.
