Strike Possible at Ford

Workers at the Ford factory in Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad region, could start an indefinite strike from June 1, 2012, Gazeta.ru reported Tuesday, citing the plant's primary trade union.

It is possible that the assembly line will be stopped on that day.

Ford employees made a number of demands of company management in February concerning working conditions and compensation. Ford has offered a compromise solution, but it found no support among the workers. Late last year, the workers at the Ford plant conducted so-called warning strikes.
