City Department Raided

Police are seizing documents from an enterprise reporting to City Hall's natural resources and environmental protection department, Interfax reported, citing a law enforcement source.

Oleg Mitvol, former head of Rosprirodnadzor and former prefect of the Moscow Northern Administrative District, said on his blog that inspectors had come to the Moscow branch of the natural resources and environmental protection department.

Mitvol said the inspectors were especially interested in accounting documents and possible violations of tenders. He said the searches are being conducted by the Interior Ministry's economic security department. "[The searches] are connected to tenders. I think we are talking about billions of rubles," he said.
