Rezidor Opens 5th Property

The Rezidor Hotel Group opened its fifth hotel in Moscow, under the name Radisson Blu Belorusskaya.

The four-star hotel is located on 3rd Ulitsa Yamskogo Polya. It has 264 guest rooms, six conference rooms and 300 parking spaces. Room prices will start at 7,500 rubles ($273) per night.

According to GVA Sawyer consulting, Moscow now has 1.88 hotel rooms for every 1,000 inhabitants, with a total of 21,740 rooms in the city. The FIFA evaluation committee said another 3,700 rooms are needed to support the 2018 football championships.

Based on the stated expansion plans of the city's hotel operators, by 2013 there should be 28,740 hotel rooms in Moscow.
