Kirkorov's Case Closed

A Moscow court approved on Wednesday a settlement between pop star Filipp Kirkorov and television producer Marina Yablokova, who accused him of assaulting her on a film set amid a disagreement over stage lights earlier this month, Interfax reported.

The court dropped charges of minor assault and slander, punishable with several months in jail. Details of the settlement remained under wraps, but news agencies reported earlier that it envisaged Kirkorov donating 10 million rubles ($325,000) to charity.
