Yegiazaryan Case Opened

The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against a State Duma deputy with the Liberal Democratic Party who was stripped of parliamentary immunity by his colleagues Wednesday, the agency said on its web site Saturday.

Ashot Yegiazaryan, 45, faces up to 10 years in prison if charged and convicted of large-scale fraud on construction projects, the committee said.
