Cop, Medics Kill Girl

A drunken police officer struck three teenage girls with his car in the Tomsk region, and one of the girls was also run over by the ambulance that rushed to the scene to help them, Interfax reported Wednesday.

A 15-year-girl died and the other two were hospitalized in stable condition after Tuesday’s accident, police said, without identifying the girls. It was unclear Wednesday whether the teen was killed by the police car or the ambulance.

The incident took place in the village of Kargasok. The girls were walking along the roadside when the unidentified police officer plowed into them.

A criminal case has been opened, but the officer remains free, Lifenews.ru said.
