Svyazinvest Backs Shuffle

Svyazinvest shareholders voted to approve the resignation of outgoing general director Yevgeny Yurchenko and named Vadim Semyonov to replace him at an extraordinary meeting Friday, a source said Tuesday.

The Svyazinvest board of directors had decided at its meeting on Sept. 29 to approve the leadership change at a meeting scheduled for Nov. 3. Semyonov will take up his duties Wednesday, the source said. A Svyazinvest spokesman declined comment.
