Medical Research Planned

As part of a state program, 20 new medical research centers will be opened over the next 10 years, the Industry and Trade Ministry said Saturday.

“Under the program, we are planning to create about 10 research centers for development of new medicinal preparations and about seven for development of medical equipment,” Deputy Minister Denis Manturov said. “We are also planning to train and retrain about 5,000 specialists in various areas who will be employed in our pharmaceutical industry.”
