AFI Mall’s Occupancy Rises

AFI Development said Thursday that it raised its occupancy forecast for Mall of Russia, a Moscow shopping center scheduled to open in December.

AFI has already leased 58 percent of the property’s gross lettable area and expects that figure to exceed 75 percent by the time retail sales start, the company said in a regulatory filing.

AFI said July 12 that it expected opening occupancy to be as low as 70 percent.
