Parasailing Donkey Found

Police have found the man who sent his donkey parasailing over the Sea of Azov last week, as well as the animal, which is in good health, RIA-Novosti reported Thursday.

Veterinary experts have examined the donkey and found that it suffered no serious damage over the incident that saw it spending more than half an hour braying in fear as it was dragged in a parachute by a motor boat, the police spokeswoman said.

The owner was not identified, and it remained unclear whether he will face any charges over the incident. Only killing or maiming an animal is considered animal abuse under Russian law.
