O'Neal also grabbed 20 rebounds and blocked three shots. Alonzo Mourning had 26 points, nine rebounds and four blocks for the Hornets.
Rockets 109, Pacers 104. At Indiana, Hakeem Olajuwon had 43 points, 16 rebounds and eight blocked shots as the Houston Rockets improved to 4-0 on the season with a 109-104 victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Olajuwon scored 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting in the first half as the Rockets opened up a 58-47 lead and held off the Pacers in the second half.
Nets 110, Bulls 109. At New Jersey, Kenny Anderson hit a 14-foot running jumper with 16.7 seconds left to snap a 106-106 tie and the New Jersey Nets held on to defeat the Chicago Bulls 110-109 for their first win of the season.
Scottie Pippen's follow up basket with 28 seconds left in the fourth had tied the game at 106-106 and completed a Bulls' comeback from a 103-93 deficit with 3:18 left.
Spurs 109, Jazz 101. In San Antonio, David Robinson scored nine of his 30 points in the fourth quarter, and Sean Elliott hit a key three-point jumper with under two minutes left in the game to power the San Antonio Spurs to a 109-101 win over the Utah Jazz.
76ers 98, Bullets 97. In Philadelphia, Dana Barros hit a driving layup with 7.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give the Philadelphia 76ers a comeback 98-97 victory over the Washington Bullets.
Suns 106, Hawks 102. In Phoenix, Danny Manning scored 16 of his 30 points in the third quarter against his former team as the Phoenix Suns sent Atlanta to its worst start in 23 years with a 106-102 victory over the Hawks.
Kevin Johnson, who had 22 points and 14 assists for the Suns, iced the game with four straight free throws and sank the Hawks to an 0-4 record.
Lakers 122, Timberwolves 99. At Minnesota, Rookie Eddie Jones scored 31 points as the Los Angeles Lakers ran away for a 122-99 victory over the struggling Minnesota Timberwolves.
Kings 108, SuperSonics 100. In Seattle, Mitch Richmond scored 21 points and the Sacramento Kings held off the Seattle SuperSonics 108-100 for their second straight win. Walt Williams added 18 for the Kings, who led by as many as 18 points in the third quarter before the Sonics rallied and went ahead by one in the fourth.
