Top Cricketeers Fined

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados () -- Brian Lara and Carl Hooper have been fined by West Indies cricket officials for missing a team meeting ahead of their tour of India.

The size of the fine was not stated by West Indies Cricket Board of Control , which had asked the squad to assemble in London on Monday ahead of their departure for India on the following day. A mix-up in flight arrangements had left Lara stranded in Trinidad on Sunday.

In Multan, Pakistan, David Boon led Australia to a seven-wicket win over Pakistan on Friday in the second game of a one-day triangular series. Boon and Steve Waugh shared an undefeated 119 runs for the fourth wicket in Australia's second win in the series.
