South Africa Starts Tour

LONDON -- South Africa's cricketers have arrived for their first tour for 29 years to be greeted by the man who led a campaign to keep them out of the game during apartheid: Peter Hain. The South Africans, who will play three tests and two one-day internationals against England, said they were delighted to be back after their Saturday arrival. South African-born Hain who led the protests that halted a proposed 1970 tour of England, said it was an odd feeling to welcome a team he had always tried to prevent coming.
