Soccer Players' Charge

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia () -- Police have arrested 10 soccer players who are suspected of taking bribes from bookmakers to fix matches, detectives said Tuesday.


Seven were arrested in dawn raids at their homes in Perak state north of Kuala Lumpur Monday. Another three were arrested Tuesday, police said. No charges have yet been filed.


The arrests follow accusations of widespread corruption within the sport in Malaysia.
