Sharks' Kozlov Injured

SAN JOSE, California ) -- Viktor Kozlov, left wing for the NHL's San Jose Sharks, is expected to be sidelined three months after undergoing surgery on his left ankle.


Kozlov, 19, sustained a displaced fracture and damaged two ligaments Sunday while playing for Dinamo Moscow. He was operated on Tuesday in Redwood City, California. Kozlov, who was not part of the NHL Russian stars' "Dream Team" tour, spent about 10 days in Russia after the league ruled him ineligible to play with the Sharks' minor-league affiliate in Kansas City.
