WASHINGTON () -- The father of a man killed six years ago in the Lockerbie plane bombing said he received a demand for $6.4 million in U.S. taxes on lawsuit judgments that have yet to be awarded.
John Zwynenberg of Nyack, New York, said the U.S. Internal Revenue Service asked for payment of the taxes on his son's estate that Zwynenberg might owe if courts award him payment.
Zwynenberg said the demand called for payment within 90 days, but that the State Department had taken up the case.
