Three metro stations on the Dark Green (Zamoskvoretskaya) Line in central Moscow ?€” Teatralnaya, Tverskaya and Mayakovskaya will be closed Saturday for track repairs.

The trains on the Zamoskvoretskaya line will run only between the stations Vodny Stadion and Belorusskaya and from Novokuznetskaya to Alma-Atinskaya, the metro administration said in a statement earlier this week.

In order to ease inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of Mayakovskaya metro station, which has no connecting stations on other lines, Moscow authorities will increase the number of trolleybuses and buses in the surrounding area, the statement said.

The closed stations will reopen at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 20.

The current practice of closing stations for a whole day in order to conduct repair works came after the incident on the Moscow metro's Dark Blue (Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya) Line in July 2014, which killed 24 people and injured 188 others.
