Mideast Violence Flares

PLO leaders accused Israel of cold-blooded murder and the occupied territories erupted in violence Tuesday over the killing by undercover soldiers of six PLO men in Gaza a day earlier.

At least one Palestinian was killed and 50 Arabs, including a Reuters Television cameraman hit by a rubber bullet, were wounded by army gunfire as protesters vented their rage.

Monday's shootings in Gaza's Jabalya refugee camp angered the Palestine Liberation Organization and cast a shadow over talks with Israel in Cairo.

Witnesses to the Jabalya killings said the six PLO men, who wore masks and fatigues, were shot without warning by eight undercover soldiers.
