BANSKA BYSTRICA, Slovakia -- Tiny Slovakia finally got its first McDonald's restaurant Friday, but residents of its largest city still have to drive a ways for a Big Mac.
Company officials said land prices were so high in Bratislava, the capital, that they opted to make their debut 170 kilometers east in unassuming Banska Bystrica.
