MOSCOW () -- The Latvian government has offered Russian gas monopoly a 16.25 percent stake in state gas company Latvijas Gaze, but Gazprom has not yet decided whether to buy it, a company official said Monday.
Gazprom suspended talks with Latvia at the end of last year on buying a stake in Latvijas Gaze because of uncertainty over the Latvian concern's privatization plans and a government crisis.
