BRUSSELS-- European Parliament socialists said Wednesday they had expelled Italian Social Democrats from their grouping for collaborating with neo-fascists. A statement from the Party of European Socialists said party leaders attending a socialist summit in Corfu, Greece, had decided to exclude the Italian Social Democratic Party from their two-day meeting. The statement accused Italy's Social Democrats of working with the neo-fascist National Alliance in Sicily during recent elections. "This is the first time since the Second World War that a supposed socialist party has collaborated with a neo-fascist party," the statement said.
