JERUSALEM () -- A Palestinian shot and wounded an Israeli settler reservist as the soldier drove near a Jewish settlement in the vicinity of the West Bank town of Ramallah Friday, settler spokesmen said.
The wounded soldier, identified as Lieutenant Maimon Ben-David of the Pesagot settlement, was rushed to a local hospital with a shoulder injury, West Bank settlement spokesman Aharon Dombe said.
Israel has already stalled negotiations over pulling troops out of the West Bank so that self-rule can be implemented, because of a spate of attacks that has claimed the lives of 32 Israelis since Oct. 1.
