Hall of Fame Upset

NEWPORT, Rhode Island -- Top seed Greg Rusedski of Canada and twice champion Bryan Shelton were upset in the second round of the $215,000 International Tennis Hall of Fame Championships. American qualifier David Witt, ranked 209th in the world, used a big serve to end the title defense of Rusedski with a 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 victory. Shelton, who won the only grass court tournament in the United States in 1991 and 1992, was picked off by fellow American David Wheaton 6-4, 6-4.
