Grozny: Journalist Hit

KHASAVYURT, Chechnya () -- A Russian Sky News soundman was hit in the face by shrapnel Friday when a rocket exploded meters from where his crew was filming in Grozny, the conflict-torn Chechen capital, the company said.


Yury Tunev, 29, and his crew had taken cover from a rocket attack in an alley when he was hit, Sky News said. He was taken to a hospital at Khasavyurt, on Chechnya's eastern border with Dagestan, where a doctor said his injuries were not serious, Sky News said.


Several bystanders were injured. One who seemed to be in a serious condition, judging by Sky News footage.
