Finns to Purify Water

HELSINKI () -- A Finnish company said Tuesday a subsidiary would purify half a million liters of radioactive water as part of a project to clean up a former Soviet base on the Baltic Sea.


Finnish state-controlled energy company Imatran Voima said in a statement the company may also purify the rest of the 800,000 liters of radioactive water at the Paldiski base in Estonia.
