Fergie's Old Flame Provokes Fresh Royal Embarrassment

If the queen was hoping to leave the scandals of her adulterous family behind her when she left for Moscow, luck was not with her.

The queen arrived in Moscow, her eldest son's latest revelations about his broken marriage splashed all over the British newspapers, only hours after the man who blew apart her second son's marriage was spotted by the Royal press corps in the Russian capital.

John Bryan, former financial adviser to the Duchess of York, the now separated wife of Prince Andrew, has been staying at the Metropol hotel, along with half of Fleet Street.

Bryan was snapped holidaying with the duchess in an unforgettably compromising position. Photos of a topless Fergie having her toes sucked by Bryan, while holidaying in France, were plastered over the world's newspapers.

The paparazzi kicked into overdrive Sunday when they spotted Bryan's distinctive bald head in the hotel lobby, accompanied by a glamorous red-head. Bryan, blushing but seemingly half-enjoying the attention, disclaimed any intention of marring the queen's visit.

"I'm in and out of Moscow quite often," he said Monday, adding "I certainly didn't expect to walk into a hornet's nest."

Bryan, who has business interests in Moscow and St. Petersburg, said he would not be staying to see the queen. He was leaving for Siberia Monday.

"Just where the queen would have liked to send you," quipped one royal reporter.
