LONDON -- Epsom Derby third-favorite Colonel Collins was drawn Tuesday for the unenviable stall-one starting position for Wednesday's big race. No horse has won the classic from this position, tight against the rails, since Roberto in 1972. A 25-runner field-- the biggest in 16 years -- makes the draw more significant than usual, and the best positions are generally regarded to be in the middle. The No. 10 draw, the "hot box" from which five of the last 10 Derby winners have emerged, went to 100-1 outsider Ionio.
