LONDON -- The outcast father of French Open finalist Mary Pierce says he is responsible for her success and wants "daddy's little girl" back. In an interview published Tuesday in the tabloid The Sun, Jim Pierce said he made his daughter the world's No. 7 tennis player and is sure she will become the best -- because of him. Mary Pierce broke with her father last year after a period of sustained physical and verbal abuse. After being ejected from last year's French Open for disruptive behavior, Pierce's father was banned from all women's tournaments. Mary Pierce obtained a restraining order to keep him away, and her mother filed for divorce.
